Åkervinda offers sharp arrangements, powerful voices, and spine-chilling harmonies. They cherish the Nordic folk singing tradition and rejuvenate it with improvisation and jazz harmonies.

Åkervinda is an award-winning vocal group that, since their TV debut onAllsång på Skansenin 2019, has received accolades worldwide for their unique sound and stage presence. Their debut album "Kära mor" ("Dear mother") was released in 2014, followed by the successor "Förgänglighet" ("Transience") in spring 2018, which was nominated for the prestigious price Grammis in the category of "Folk Music of the Year." In November, their third album, "Så Skall Hat och Avund Smältas," ("So Hate and Envy Shall Melt") was released, containing joy and sorrow, humor and seriousness, depth and dancing light passages.
